Letting Go
It can become a necessity – a matter of life and death – to leave old things behind. Things that you hoped and prayed for, things that kept you in your comfort zone. Things that bogged you down and kept you from reaching the heights planned for you. I thought that I was holding on to “hope” for a long time, not wanting to give up on relationships, praying for the Lord to change things, to transform the old to new. He did not. The Bible says that you cannot put new wine in an old wine skin. So, I choose to let go of the pain and old things from winters past. Close the door to wishful thinking and living in yesteryear. The old is behind me. A new season lies ahead.
Grace-Filled Forgiveness
A bittersweet celebration of the independence that was fought for and won 77 years ago and a mourning for the independence that has been lost 77 years later.
My Forever Dawn
A poem from the morning.
Welcome In, Lord!
I believe our life is much like a door that we can either open or close to a million different things: ideas, beliefs, truths, relationships… the list is endless.
Our decision to open or close our door is always a choice. Choices, big or small, shape our today, our tomorrow and our eternity.
With my eyes on eternity, the most important decision I could ever make is to open my door and invite Jesus in.
It’s Been Some Time
When life takes over, it’s easy to forget that we have an ever present help in times of trouble, and in fact at all times. What a loss to forget that with the Lord, we can face anything!
Walking With Him
Getting to know someone requires spending time with them. A relationship unfolds as you walk, talk, listen, respect and share your time and life with someone. As you journey with them, you discover who and how they really are. It is the same with God. Start walking with Him today!
I Am A New Creation
Everything we do in this life is for Christ.
I Can’t Get Enough
I wrote this to remind myself and maybe you, dear reader, to stay following Jesus. He is everything.
Goodbye My Sweet Boy
We lost our beautiful boy Duke to tick fever with IMHA complications. He fought bravely for almost two weeks before he became too weak to fight anymore.
