My Safe Place
Psalm 46
God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge!
You’re a proven help in time of trouble—
more than enough and always available whenever I need you.
So we will never fear
even if every structure of support were to crumble away.
Surrender your anxiety!
Be silent and stop your striving and you will see that I am God.
I am the God above all the nations,
and I will be exalted throughout the whole earth.
Here he stands!
The Commander!
The mighty Lord of Angel Armies is on our side!
The God of Jacob fights for us!
…
Dear friend,
How are you doing?
I’ve been experiencing a lot of stress this week. A fear of the unknown creeping in and worry tiring me out. It’s not something I’m aware of, but feels like a subconscious thing, and the subconscious is so much harder to address.
Have you ever been in this position? Just tired! Tired of fighting, tired of worrying, tired of trying so hard, tired of being so needy, tired of feeling taken advantage of, tired of loneliness, tired of being frustrated. Just tired of the struggle to get through each day of this life and make it to the next in one piece!
If you feel like I do today or any day for that matter, I want to encourage you with Psalm 46. The whole psalm is 🙌🏾 and worth reminding ourselves when we feel low.
I feel like if there was ever a time to come together and help each other get through the tough times, it’s now in this era of uncertain times. Many of us are struggling, so let’s make it our duty to support and encourage each other in every way we can.
Be blessed,
Shalomie
