Letting Go
It can become a necessity – a matter of life and death – to leave old things behind. Things that you hoped and prayed for, things that kept you in your comfort zone. Things that bogged you down and kept you from reaching the heights planned for you. I thought that I was holding on to “hope” for a long time, not wanting to give up on relationships, praying for the Lord to change things, to transform the old to new. He did not. The Bible says that you cannot put new wine in an old wine skin. So, I choose to let go of the pain and old things from winters past. Close the door to wishful thinking and living in yesteryear. The old is behind me. A new season lies ahead.
